The Mayor’s Volunteer Awards 2012 ceremony took place at Reigate Town Hall on Tuesday October 2nd. The awards were presented by the Mayor of Reigate & Banstead, Cllr. Roger Newstead.
Two members of Radio Redhill received awards this year.
Nigel Gray, Chairman of Radio Redhill, won an award in the Individual Trustee category for his work at Radio Redhill for over 30 years, including almost 30 years as Chairman.
Jack Parker, still an active volunteer for Radio Redhill at the age of 89, had his work fund-raising for the station recognised, as well as his time given to several other local charities.
