Request collecting has been rather harder this year as for much of it we haven’t been able to get out on the wards and meet patients. That hasn’t stopped us from compiling our annual countdown of the top 300 requests. We have a brand new number one with What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong taking the top spot for the first time.
The countdown began on the 29th of December and came to a conclusion on New Year’s Day with the winning song announced just before 5pm.
Last year the top spot was heldly jointly for the first time with regular chart topper My Way by Frank Sinatra sharing the honours with Perfect by Ed Sheeran, these two songs were pushed down to second and third this year.
