- Frank Sinatra Toppled From Number One on Radio Redhill - Radio Redhill
Frank Sinatra’s My Way has lost its crown as the most popular song on Radio Redhill!

My Way has been the most requested song on Radio Redhill’s daily request programme, Your Requests, virtually every year since 1998. The only exception was in 2014 when Pharrell Williams and Happy stole the number one spot.

But in 2018, Old Blue Eyes has been pushed off the number one position by the all-conquering Ed Sheeran, with his big hit Perfect, which Radio Redhill listeners at the East Surrey Hospital decided was the most pefect record of 2018 for them.

The entire Top 40 for 2018 was played on Radio Redhill on New Year’s Day afternoon, with the new number one being revealed just before 5 p.m.

However, Frank still remained popular with two entries in the Top Ten, My Way and Fly Me To The Moon, at numbers 2 and 3 respectively.

The full Radio Redhill Top Ten was as follows:

1. Perfect – Ed Sheeran
2. My Way – Frank Sinatra
3. Fly Me to the Moon – Frank Sinatra
4. Dancing Queen – ABBA
5. Sweet Caroline – Neil Diamond
6. Sailing – Rod Stewart
7. What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
8. The Best – Tina Turner
9. Let There Be Love – Nat King Cole
10. An American Trilogy – Elvis Presley
