Radio Redhill has been successful once again at the Annual Hospital Radio Awards.
The Awards Ceremony was held at the Hilton Hotel, Watford, and was organised by the Hospital Broadcasting Association, which represents over 200 hospital radio stations nationwide.
Radio Redhill’s Katie Child won the Silver Award for Best Newcomer against stiff competition from all over the United Kingdom. The judges praised Katie’s “soothing presentation style”, saying “she was a joy to listen to.”
Radio Redhill was also successful in being nominated in two other categories, Station of the Year and Best Speech Package.
Nigel Gray, Chairman of Radio Redhill, said “I am delighted that Radio Redhill has been successful again in
the Hospital Radio Awards. This recognises the hard work put in by all our volunteers serving the patients of the East Surrey Hospital.”
