Stan Dyke and Joanna Lumley
Stan Middleton-Dyke passed away on Thursday January 22nd.
Stan was a member of Radio Redhill for 30 years and, although he moved to Scotland some time ago, he kept up his membership and stayed in touch with Radio Redhill, ringing in every Christmas Day with his Scottish wife Ada by his side.
Stan was a member of the station’s Executive Committee for many years. He was known particularly for running the Radio Redhill Public Address.
As well as Request Programmes and the Sunday Colour Supplement, he had a regular Wednesday afternoon magazine programme for some time.
He is pictured above with Joanna Lumley at the opening of Redhill’s Belfry Shopping Centre in 1991.
Stan was a great friend to many members of Radio Redhill over the years and his passing is a sad loss. He was 88.
